Terra *spoilers for those who havent played FF6*
Age: 18
Weapon:swords and flails
Ex Mode: Esper form
Ex Burst: Riot Blade
Description: Terra is the child of a esper man( Maduin) and a human woman(madeline). Because she is part esper she has massive amounts of power which she cant control. The Empire saw how useful she could be and used a slave crown. The slave crown fully controled her body and robbed her of any thought. After she is saved by the returners (a rebel group against the empire) she is freed from the slave crown, but she suffers from amnesia.
Although Terra cannot understand her true feelings or her own power she still helps the Returners because of there desperate need for her power. Overtime Terra learns the significance of the battle against the empire. After the world is destroyed, She eventually learns what "love" really means and decides to fight Kefka, to protect everything she loves.
Why Terra ?
I think the question should be "why not Terra" ?I love Terra. She is absolutely beautiful in every aspect from looks, personality and voice. Terra is long range dominant. She is able to chain spells together to completely annihilate her opponents.Terra is good at playing mind games with her opponents and a couple of her spells can act as shields. You will want to keep a good distance between her and your opponent, the distance varies depending on which character you are fighting but i will go more indepth about this when i create my "vs character" section. For example you dont want Terra to get anywhere near Jecht. Terra is good at playing mind games with her opponents and a couple of her spells can act as shields.
Spamming:
Meteor
If there is one thing that you will try to spam its meteor "DO NOT DO THIS". It is possible to block the meteors that fall and if the enemy blocks, it may be sent right back at you. Trust me i know, this has happened to me alot of times. If the enemy has counter attack equipped, you will be left with a nasty after taste. If you want to spam meteor and feel safe here are some precautions you have to take.
-Make sure your on high ground(above the opponent)/ behind a wall
-Dont stand right in front of the opponent
There is also a big flaw to this, if you are above the opponent or behind a wall you will not be able to hit with here "meteor combos".
Holy
Spamming holy is probably worse than spamming meteor, except you have a chance to block. If the enemy blocks your holy, they will be sent right back at you, so you must be ready to block. The only problem is when the enemy blocks them back, sometimes they will attack your blind spots(above,below/beind you) so you may not be able to block accurately. Again if the enemy has counter attack equipped you will be left with a nasty after taste.
Another problem is that sometimes the enemy will block a few of the holy orbs but still get with the others. When this happens you may still be able to shoot the fire balls to connect to ultima, but the orbs the enemy blocked will come back and bite you in the ass, which will interupt the holy to Ultima combo. You should never spam holy !
Ground Brave
Fire:
Level learned: Initial
CP: 20
AP: 120
Terra fires a quick attack that trails along the ground. It starts up a chase.
Strengths:
- It is quick in excecution
- Travels quickly
- good if you like chase.
- has a homing effect...but not much.
Weakness:
- It dosent do much brave damage
- Not very useful for anything except going into chase
- It is easily doedged or blocked
Strategy: There is not much of a strategy here its one of her first attacks so you should only keep it equiped until you get the better stuff.
Blizzara:
Level learned: 13
CP: 30
AP: 180
Terra shoots a chunk of ice at the opponent. extra pieces of ice deal extra damage.
Strengths:
- Good range
- its pretty qucick
- has a crash effect
- blocks magic
- Very reliable
Weakness:
- It is linear
Strategy: This is a move you will probably be using alot in the begining. Its a good reliable attack but be careful not to use this to close to the enemy if you miss you are open for an attack. I tend to use this after meteor to confuse the enemy hoping that they will be hit by either the Blizzara or meteor.
Blizzara Combo:
Level learned: 19
CP:30
AP:180
Terra gets close to the enemy and hits them with pieces of ice. You can change the direction of the attack by tilting the analog stick.
strengths:
- good for brave damage
- quick excecution
- good for keeping the enemy away from you, especially if they are stubborn and stay on you.
- has a crash effect
Weakness:
- you must get into the enemies face to use it, and there are some enemies she may want to stay away from.
Strategy: This attack is good but you must becareful. I like the air version of this attack much more and i say that you should only equip the air version..if you plan on using this move.
Graviga
Level learned: 33
CP: 30
AP:180
Terra creates a sphere of gravity above the enemy and drops it on them.
strengths:
- Good brave damage
- Has tracking
- you are able to move around albiet not at a fast pace
- sucking effect
- has a crash effect
Weakness:
-It is somewhat easy to dodge if you know how to
-Slow execution
Strategy: Be careful when using this move. Even though you can move around while casting your not moving very quickly. You should save this move for Ex mode and i will explain why when you get there.
Meteor:
Level Learned: 42
CP: 30
AP: 180
Terra twirls around as small meteors rain from the sky.
Strengths:
- Excellent for playing mind games
- good for taunting the opponent
- good brave damage
- Chains into almost every combo ( i will get into further detail later on)
Weakness:
- If you miss there is a small opening for the enemy to attack but they must be quick
Strategy: Once you learn this move you should always have it equiped. Its quick, effective and spamable. Becareful when using this the enemy can easily dash at you and attack, so its important to distance yourself when using this. If the enemy gets to close when im trying to use this i will usually cast blizzara at them.
This move can be guarded against so if your to close one of the fireballs may hit you. It is very easy to gain brave with this move if used appropriatly.
Air Brave
Blizzara
level learned: Initial
CP:30
AP:140
Terra shoots a chunk of ice at the opponent. It attacks twice
strengths:
- Good range
- its pretty quick
- blocks magic
- has a crash effect
Weakness:
- It is linear
Strategy: I find this move very useful in many situations especially if you want one of your enemies to "get away" from you. Its great for distancing your self and it can cut through magic. The further you are the eaiser it is to dodge this attack. I also like to air dash and cast this spell at the enemy.
Blizzara Combo
level learned: initial
CP: 30
AP: 140
Terra gets close to the enemy and hits them with pieces of ice. You can change the direction from hitting the enemy forward to hitting them into the air.
Strength:
- good brave damage
- good for keeping the enemy away from you
- quick excecution
- has a crash effect
Weakness:
- you must get into the enemies face to use it, and there are some enemies she may want to stay away from.
Strategy:Just like the ground version
Thundara
Level learned:3
CP: 20
AP: 90
4 strings of lightning home in on the enemy.
Strength:
- Is quick
- fast execution
- good for interupting enemy attacks
Weakness:
- Not much brave damage
Strategy: Somewhat useless. You will probably want to take this off once you get better spells. It can be easily dodged and it could take some time to actually land a hit.
Holy
Level learned: 10
CP:20
AP:40
Terra spins and shoots 5 balls of light at a average speed.
Strength:
- Fast execution
- Homing
- Chains into many combos (i will get into further detail later on)
- Starts chase
Weakness:
- medium brave damage
Strategy: Its a pretty solid move with ok tracking. This move will almost always miss if the enemy is right under/behind/above you. It is very annoying when the enemy blocks this attack, if they do block this move all the orbs will be sent back at you and some of them may be hard to spot so you may not be able to block in time.
Holy Combo
Level learned: 28
CP:30
AP: 200
If Terra's holy hits she will be able to shoot fire blasts at the enemy.
Strengths:
-It makes the opponent more cautios about being hit by holy.
-Does good brave damage
- Chains into Ultima
- starts chase
Weakness:
- you must land the holy orbs to initiate the fire blasts
- The holy orbs may be hard to land
Strategy: Holy combo is a amazing combo when chained into Ultima. This move can rack up some serious brave. The only problem is landing the holy orbs. Its a good idea to use meteor and Blizzara a couple of times before this to confuse your opponent so that the holy combo has a better chance of hitting.
Even if you do land holy its not guarenteed that the fire blasts will connect. So you must be percise.

Ground HP
Flood:
level learned: initial
CP:40
AP:180
Terra crouches down and casts 3 rising waves of water at the opponents location.
Strengths:
- pops up right under the opponent so you will immediately hit them if the enemy isnt ready
- the 3 waves appear one after another quickly and they can be hard to dodge
Weakness:
- you are open for attacks during the attack animation (although it may be hard for the enemy to get you because they will be to busy dodging the waves.
Strategy:Flood is a excellent starting move. The pillars of water appear right under the enemy so it can be hard to dodge on reaction (If you are to far from the opponent the pillars of water will just attack the air its the same deal with meteor). Flood is also a great way to get the enemy to come to but its not as safe as meteor. Make some distance between you and your enemy before using this if your to close the enemy has a chance of attacking you during the startup. The good thing about this move is that even if your to close to the enemy there is a good chance that they wont be able to hit you because they will be to busy dodging the attack.
Tornado:
level learned: 23
CP:40
AP:180
Three tornadoes circle around Terra then forming into one large tornado.
Strengths:
- Has a crashing effect
- Has a sucking effect
- It is excellent at countering a enemy attack
- Its good for shielding yourself
- Good for keeping enemies away, Somone will think twice about appoaching if your using Tornado
Weakness:
- Has a very slight lag
Strategy: Tornado is a great move with a bit of a lag. This move is a great way to keep your enemies away. Its also great to use of the enemy is above you. Some people really like to spam this move but i suggest you dont. Since there is a slight lag after the attack, the opponent can take that oppurtunity to strike. Tornado is also a great shield against attacks.
Air HP
Tornado
Level learned:initial
CP:40
AP:180
The same as the ground version
Strengths:
- Has a crashing effect
- Has a sucking effect
- It is excellent at countering a enemy attack
- Its good for shielding yourself
- Good for keeping enemies away, Somone will think twice about appoaching if your using Tornado
- i like this one slightly better than the ground version.
Weakness:
- has a very slight lag
Strategy: The same as the ground version except i like this one better.
Meltdown
Level Learned:51
CP:40
AP:300
Terra charges up a huge ball of fire, its effects change depending on how long you've charged it. There are three diffrent levels of the attack
- Useful for keeping an enemy away
- Extremely Useful in enclosed spaces since it can bounce all over the place
- Good for a guard counter (Not the fully charged version, by the time its done charging the
- Good for mind games
enemy would have recovered from your guard)
Weakness:
- Takes some time to fully charge
- Terra cannot move around during the chraging animation
- depending on how long you charged it up it will stay stationary for a few seconds
Strategy:
Another one of Terra's very useful attacks. You are not restricted to charging the whole attack so if an enemy gets to close you can just fire off a diffrent variation of the attack. Meltdown has three stages each with a diffrent outcome.
Stage 1: Terra charges for a split second then shoots a small ball of fire at close range as it explodes. I tend to use this when im very desperate to kill the enemy but it usually dosent work. If the enemy is very close i would suggest you use tornado instaed of Meltdown(stage one). Tornado will shield you or tell the enemy to stay away and it has a higer chance of hitting. On the plus side Meltdown (stage one) is quick and will hit the enemy if there not fast enough and if you miss you can fire it again with out to much lag.
Stage 2: Terra charges meltdown for a little while then fires a medium sized ball of fire. When she fires it off it will move very slowly and then start to move at a quick pace while tracking the enemy. I find this one pretty reliable as long as the enemy isnt to far (this stage has a limited range) You will have to time how long she charges before she fires this correctly. If you timing is to fast she will use stage 1 if your to slow she will use stage 3. As soon as Terra starts to speak that will be the optimal time to fire. I like this stage alot better than stage 1 because of the tracking and you dont need to be to close to the opponent.
Stage 3: This is probably the best stage to use in tight places lke the magiteck research facility(A.K.A kefkas tower) or Pandemonium. Just keep charging until Terra lets go. If your aiming to use stage 3 then give yourself some space frome the enemy. The great thing about this attack is its juge size and the fact that it bounces off of surfaces. While the enemy is busy avoiding this attack you should use other spells like meteor or blizzara to add to your opponents confusion.
Overall as you can see Meltdown can be used in many diffrent situations making it a very useful attack.
Ultima
Level learned: Whenever you master "Holy combo"
CP:40
AP:300
After Terra does holy combo press square to perform Ultima (you must get the timing right)
Strengths:
- Good brave damage
- A excellent combo
- Because of this combo people become wary of being hit my Holy
- Also good for mind games
Weakness:
- If your timing is off the enemy may be able to jump right out of it and attack you.
Strategy: Ultima cannot be used just like any other hp attack. It is a special BP> HP attack.
What this means is you cannot use this attack unless you hit the enemy with a specific Brave (in this case the bp attack that you must hit with is holy combo). Ultima does lots of brave damage and it is completely destructive in EX mode. After the fire balls from holy combo hit the enemy press square to initiate Ultima. You do not have to hit the enemy with all the fire balls you only need to hit them with 1 to start Ultima but if you feel that you can hit the enemy with all 3 go ahead and do it. The only problem with getting Ultima started is having to hit the enemy with the holy orbs first which can be easily blocked or dodged.
Special Terra Combos
Graviga:As i have said before Graviga is very hard to hit. But if you are in EX mode you will have a higher chance of hitting because of her double cast abilltiy. While casting Graviga in Ex mode if you tap square again another ball of gravity will appear over the enemy while the first one falls making it so that if you hit with the first the second will also hit you can keep on casting this over and over to rack up massive brave. Also while the second Graviga is hitting you can cast meteor for some extra damage.
Meteor to Ultima: Holy combo is very hard to hit because you must hit the enemy with the holy orbs to start the combo and the holy orbs are slow, easy to block and easy to dodge. A good way to hit the enemy with it is if you use metor and then holy combo. When Terra lifts into the air during meteor you have an oppurtunity to cast holy. If meteor hits there is a good chance that your holy will hit. When holy hits quickly tap circle to shoot the fireballs and then square to start Ultima.
If you had a hard time understanding what i just said or need a example just watch this
Blizzara combo(air) to Meltdown: A very quick combo. All you must do is use blizzara but only tap circle once so that she will only attack once and then quickly tap square for meltdown. What i usually see is that the enemy usually dodges away once you use blizzara combo that there not prepared for your follow up meltdown. This combo isnt very accurate. If the enemy dodges behind you meltdown will not hit, Terra will turn about 180 degress to before releasing meltdown.
Meteor to Meltdown: As Terra casts meteor she will lift into the air this is when you have a chance to use meltdown. If the enemy is caught in meteor it is almost a guaranteed hit with meltdown. You will only have enough time to hit the enemy with a stage 1 meltdown so you have to be close enough to hit the enemy. This is much easier and fail safe then the blizzara combo to Meltdown.
Meteor to Blizzara: when you cast meteor, cast blizzara right after. Its pretty reliable.
Meteor to Thundara: When casting meteor, Terra will twirl into the air this is your chance to cast thundara.
Meteor to Fire: After Terra uses meteor and lands on the ground you will be able to cast fire. This usually wont hit unless the enemy is hit by the last couple of meteors.
Meteor to Flood: After Terra uses meteor and lands on the ground you will be able to cast flood. This usually wont hit unless the enemy is hit by the last couple of meteors.
Meteor to Blizzara combo: After casting Meteor you will have a cahnce to use the blizzara combo, you must be close to the enemy. I wont recomend this one because this inovolves getting close to the opponent.
Meteor to Tornado: After casting Meteor you will have a chance to follow up with a Tornado, there are better combos than this and i wont recommend it. You must be close to your enemy.
As you can see meteor pretty much connects into everything.
